When Bronny James suffered cardiac arrest on July 24, 2023, it had the entire world wondering how this could happen to an 18-year-old.

It’s been said that a congenital heart defect was the cause of Bronny’s cardiac arrest. Luckily for Bronny, he was able to recover and make the NBA.

Unfortunately, Bronny has admitted the incident has affected his immune system, causing him to get sicker more easily.

“I get kind of sick easier now,” Bronny said. “Which is kind of weird, but I think it messed with my immune system a little bit. So, I would have times where I have to sit out, and that conditioning that I’m working on just goes away in that week of me being out.”

The issue even affected his first game at the California Classic in the Summer League, causing him to miss it. Hopefully, the issue will go away and Bronny won’t be affected anymore by his cardiac arrest incident.
