Holmgren had a rough start to his NBA career as an offseason injury cost him his entire rookie season. He came back in the 2023-24 season and played all 82 games, while averaging 16.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.3 blocks per game.
More importantly than his overall numbers, Holmgren fit in perfectly next to rising star and this year’s MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
This rookie extension signed by Holmgren proves he’s in it for the long haul and look for the Thunder to possibly run off multiple titles in the years to come.
