Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix will miss the remainder of the NFL playoffs after suffering a fractured bone in his ankle during Saturday’s overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills, per NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Schefter also reports that Nix is scheduled to have surgery on the injury Tuesday.

“We felt it was best to tell everyone now,” Broncos HC Sean Payton said.

The injury reportedly occurred near the end of overtime after Nix rushed for a short gain, but was taken down by a low tackle near his ankles.

With Nix on the sideline, the Broncos will start Jarrett Stidham at quarterback when they host next week’s AFC Championship game.
