The Buffalo Bills are firing head coach Sean McDermott after nine seasons, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter.
The move comes after the Bills fell to the Denver Broncos 33-30 in the AFC divisional round, bringing their final playoff record under McDermott to 8-8.
Despite an impressive 98-50 overall record under McDermott, the Bills have lost in the divisional round in four of the last five seasons and still haven’t made the Super Bowl since 1993.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane is reportedly being retained and will lead the search for a new head coach.
