Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Ty Simpson announced on Wednesday that he is declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft.

“Grateful for every single second. Blessed beyond measure to be able to chase my dreams,” Simpson said in a narrated video posted to social media. “Time to roll. Roll Tide.”
Simpson had a standout season for Alabama, recording 3,567 yards, 28 touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 64.5% of his pass attempts.
Ultimately, he led the Crimson Tide to an 11-4 record after a scorching start to the season. While he struggled a bit more late in the season, he’s still viewed as one of the top QBs in this draft class.
Behind players like Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza and Oregon’s Dante Moore, Simpson may very well be the third best quarterback in this year’s draft.
