The Atlanta Braves took care of business against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday to secure a 7-2 victory and win the weekend series 2-1.

The Braves got strong pitching from Bryce Elder as Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers continued to struggle at the plate.

After a scoreless first inning, the Braves scored on a one-run single before Mauricio Dubon extended the lead to four when he cleared the bases with a three-run double.

Once again, the Dodgers sent up three batters that all either flied out or struck out.

The next several innings flew by as both sides were getting impressive pitching. In the eighth inning, Drake Baldwin pushed Atlanta ahead 5-0 with a 390′ solo home run.

Moments later, Max Muncy helped the Dodgers finally get on the board with a 420′ two-run homer.

While it looked like the Dodgers could gain some much-needed momentum, the Braves hit two more homers in the ninth before sending three straight L.A. batters out and winning the game.

The Braves now have the best record in the MLB at 28-13 on the season.
