Wyoming Cowboys Rout Regis 95-48 in Season Opener

Wyoming men’s basketball opened its season with a 95–48 win over Regis University on Tuesday.

Wyoming Cowboys defeated Regis University Rangers 95–48 on Tuesday in the Cowboys’ men’s college basketball season opener.

Khaden Bennett scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds for Wyoming. Parker Gerrits added 12 points, shooting 4-of-5 from the field and 2-of-3 from three-point range. Nasir Meyer finished with 11 points on 3-of-7 shooting and 4-of-6 free throws.

Wyoming led for good just 26 seconds into the game. The Cowboys held a 42–27 advantage at halftime. A 24–2 run early in the second half stretched Wyoming’s lead from 19 to 41 points.

According to The Associated Press, Wyoming hosts Idaho State on Friday and Regis visits Northern Colorado on Sunday.
