At 10:17 p.m. on June 4, MLB on FOX posted via X that New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge with be set to miss the next four to six weeks with a stress fracture in his rib.

The Yankee icon had not been in the lineup for the Yankee’s series against the Cleveland Guardians, which conversations about his health to stir.

With Judge out for the foreseeable future, it seems for now, the youngster José Caballbero will be tasked with filling his incredibly large shoes.

Caballero has struggled to find himself at the plate early in his young career, however, if there was ever a chance for the Panamanian to prove to the league that he deserves a roster spot, it would be now.

The Yankees’ will continue to try and claw their way back into first of the AL East. As of Thursday June 4, the Tampa Bay Rays lead the Yankees by just half a game.

The Rays themselves have really struggled as of late, winning just two of their last 10 match ups and allowing the Yankees a chance at the top spot.

As for Yankees fans, while the sidelining of their franchise player is not ideal, the most hopeful thinking is that this short respite for Judge may get him jump started and allow him to start slugging again like fans have become accustomed to over the years.
