Houston Rockets unveil new uniforms and branding for next season

Most NBA teams are a few weeks into their offseason and the Houston Rockets are no different. On Thursday morning, they took advantage of this break to reveal their new uniforms and branding for the 2026-27 season.

They posted a video to social media that features several Rockets stars like Kevin Durant, Amen Thompson and Alperen Sengun.

The new jerseys and branding employ an updated color scheme of red and yellow, the ketchup-and-mustard look that is nostalgic for many Rockets fans.

“We heard our fans,” said Patrick Fertitta, vice chairman of the Rockets and the WNBA’s Houston Comets. “Ketchup and mustard is back! From the time my family bought the team in 2017, we’ve heard from countless fans about how deeply those colors are tied to their memories.”

The team is also leaning into a reimagined version of the old-school “Dunkstronaut” logo as part of the rebrand.

After a 52-30 finish this season, the Rockets were sent home by LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round. But with a new look that calls back to their storied history, they’ll enter next season with a clean slate.
