On Tuesday, NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs was found not guilty of all charges after being accused of assaulting his private chef over a dispute about pay.

Back in February, Diggs pleaded not guilty to a felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery. His former live-in personal chef, Jamila Adams, accused him of slapping and choking her during an argument.

Diggs strongly denied these allegations and the case went to trial, where Adams was put on the stand as a witness. Friends and employees went on to testify that Adams did not appear injured after the alleged incident. A police officer involved in the case later corroborated this claim.

Following a two-day trial, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty.

Diggs signed a three-year, $69 million deal with the New England Patriots last year before putting together his seventh career 1,000-yard season.

He played a key role in the Patriots’ run to a Super Bowl appearance, but was released in March and remains a free agent.
