Michael Jordan was the heart and soul of Chicago during the 1980s and 1990s. His mansion in Highland Park was a sight to behold for fans. In fact, driving past and seeing the gate adorned with the number 23 created an aura that captured the magic of Jordan’s legacy.

The home features nine bedrooms, 15 full bathrooms, four half-bathrooms, a dry bar, and a wet bar. The mansion also has a tennis court, a pond, a basketball court, and a private in-ground pool.

The home was put on the market in 2012. Despite its beauty and lore of being attached to Jordan, it didn’t sell for 13 years. Real estate executive John Cooper changed that when he bought the home for $9.5 million.

Cooper has named the property “Champions Point” to retain the legacy of Jordan.

“Champions Point has always been a legendary estate. Now, we’re making it possible for more people to experience that magic firsthand through our partnership with Airbnb Luxe,” Cooper said. “Whether it’s a family retreat, milestone celebration, or unforgettable getaway with friends, this estate offers an unparalleled experience in luxury living.”

Now, the Chicago mansion is listed as an Airbnb. This is an exciting opportunity for any Chicago Bulls and Jordan fans.

Teens tour Jordan’s mansion

Recently, 30 teens from Chicago got to experience the ultimate dream for anyone in the city. They got to tour Jordan’s former mansion. The teens were from local Chicago middle and high schools, and they got the opportunity to play on Jordan’s personal in-house basketball court.

On top of touring the mansion, the teens were gifted a free pair of Jordan shoes. The event was hosted by the ChiCook Officers in partnership with the Chicago Police Department, Cook County Sheriff’s Office, and Illinois State Police.

Their mission is to build trust and understanding between youth and law enforcement in Chicago.
