The NBA’s GOAT debate is inescapable: is it LeBron James or Michael Jordan? Supporters of both legends are fiercely loyal, ready to defend their choice until the end of time.

Both sides present facts as well as myths about why their “player” is the NBA GOAT. Even though there is no real right answer, it seems as if this debate will never die down.

It seems like everyone has an opinion on who the greatest player in NBA history is. Sports radio host, Dan Patrick, gave his two cents, believing there’s nothing LeBron can do to surpass Jordan as the GOAT.

“I think it’s the greatest basketball career if you look at the totality of it. But he’s never going to be Mike. People won’t allow it. It’s just interesting how we hold on to that memory of Michael Jordan like it’s dear life. LeBron could win seven titles, he would never be viewed as better than Michael Jordan in the public consciousness.”

Patrick isn’t wrong with his statement. Even with seven championships, many fans would still hold Jordan greater than LeBron.

With a flawless 6-0 NBA Finals record and unmatched scoring ability, Jordan’s achievements speak for themselves. Add to that his status as the sport’s biggest star, and it becomes difficult to challenge Jordan’s case for being the NBA GOAT.
