San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch spoke to reporter on Wednesday and was very clear on the status of wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
“I think it’s safe to say he’s played his last snap with the Niners,” Lynch said.

Aiyuk was once considered an elite WR, but tore his ACL and MCL during the 2024 season. As he rehabbed from the significant knee injuries, he reportedly failed to attend team meetings.
Over time, his relationship with the team crumbled and he hasn’t played a snap in 15 months.
The 27-year-old may still be a solid contributor on another team, assuming his extended break and injury woes haven’t had an impact on his abilities.
Time will tell where Aiyuk will decided to go during free agency.
