The Golden State Warriors were on the road Sunday for Game 7 of their first-round matchup against the Houston Rockets. In the win-or-go-home battle, Stephen Curry and the Warriors held off a late Rockets comeback and secured a 103-89 victory.

The first quarter was a slugfest, but Buddy Hield‘s scorching long-range shooting pushed the Warriors to a double-digit lead in the second quarter.

Houston’s Amen Thompson had a ten-point third quarter, but the Warriors opened up a 15-point lead and were still in control at the end of the third frame.

Curry had a very slow start to his night, managing to score just three points in the first half. But he responded with a huge 14-point fourth quarter to seal the victory.

While Houston’s double-big lineup has caused problems for the Warriors in this series, especially on the boards, Golden State’s experience helped them stay composed and lock in defensively.

For the Rockets, Amen Thompson had 24 points and nine rebounds to go along with Alperen Sengun‘s 21 points but the Rockets struggled to get a three to fall.

Buddy Hield had arguably the best game of his playoff career with 33 points on 9-11 shooting from deep. Jimmy Butler also chipped in 20 points, seven rebounds and eight assists.

The Warriors will now face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Semifinals with Game 1 set for Tuesday.
