Former JBA Star Curtis Hollis signs with Sudbury Five in Canada

Former Houston Ballers forward and JBA USA alumni Curtis Hollis has signed with a new team, this time in Canada. On February 14th, Curtis Hollis signed with the Sudbury Five of the National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada). This adds to Hollis’s impressive basketball resume, with previous experiences in Germany Dominican Republic and the GLeague as well as various Pro-Ams such as Swin City League and the famous Drew League.

Hollis has played in 4 games with the Five, including a 3 game series against the Newfoundland Rogues and one game versus the KW Titans. The Five went 4-0 in this 4 game span, making the Five 9-3 on the season. In his Five debut, Hollis scored 17 points and 2 rebounds, while shooting 75% from the field and 100% from the line in 19 minutes  in a win over the Rogues 144-137. In his second game with the Five, Hollis scored 17 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal, while shooting 63% from the field and 88% from the line in 36 minutes against the Rogues, helping the Five win 131-120.

In his third game versus the Rogues, Hollis scored 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists, while shooting 63% from the field and 75% from the line in 31 minutes in a close win 131-129 in overtime.  On Monday versus the KW Titans, Hollis scored 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals, shooting 46% from the field and 70% from the line in 25 minutes to help the Five beat the Titans 107-99. Hollis and the Five will look to continue to dominate the NBL of Canada throughout the season.
