LiAngelo Ball has had tough sledding so far early in the G-League season. To date, he’s played a grand total of 9 minutes, with zero points. The Greensboro Swarm suffered a horrible defeat to the Long Island Nets last night 119-96. LiAngelo, however, received substantial minutes for the first time all season.

After what had to feel like a long layoff, LiAngelo logged 30 minutes of action for the Swarm. As for his production, he (along with most Swarm players) left much to be desired.

LiAngelo finished with 5 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, and 1 steal. This on 2-12 shooting and 1-6 from 3. Stats like this won’t garner a mid-season call-up, but with him seeing actual meaningful playing time finally, expect those numbers to look better. The Swarm are back at it tonight against Long Island.
